Yes. In fact, mixed people tend to identify as whatever they look like. Barack Obama doesn't reject his white ancestry, but he identifies as black because he looks much more black than white.

A mixed person who looked much more white than black, who other people would assume was white, would quite logically identify as white, not least because he or she would have the experience of BEING white owing to being perceived as white. But a lot of mixed people, no matter what they look like, prefer to identify as -- mixed. Which is what I think I'd prefer to do.

Well people think Obama is black so I guess mixed people are only considered one race. I'm surprised people would say Obama is black instead of mixed.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
