Ipad2 vs. Blackberry playbook?

It really depends what you want it to do! I have owned a Playbook for 6 months and Love it. I could have had an iPad 2 for around the same price but it would have been lower spec (this was before RIM dropped the price of the playbook so drastically) I've used the iPad 2 a lot and it is good.

However I really don't like the Apple way of doing things (everything has to go through iTunes and all that cobblers). You can drag and drop files, music, videos etc into a playbook without any fuss If you have a Blackberry phone already then the Playbook is great as you can use it's 3G connection to get online when there's no WiFi. You'd need to have the (more expensive) 3G version and a separate 3G account to do that with the Ipad2 The Playbook is 7inch instead of the Ipad2's 10inches.

I much prefer this size, I can fit the whole thing in my man-bag and in some of my pockets. The Playbook also feels better made and tougher than the Ipad. The Screen is also a higher resolution and incorporates proper stereo speakers.

The Ipad is Mono unless you use headphones Included in the Playbook is an office suite which can open, create and edit documents the same as Microsoft office (word, Excel etc). There is an Apple App called pages, which is a bit like Word, but I'm not sure if it's included with the iPad The Playbook has Dual camera's. Just like the Ipad2 but I believe they are a higher spec (I certainly get better results than my Mother-in-Law's iPad2 cameras) The thing that annoys me most about the Playbook, is that Skype is not available yet.It includes a Video Chat app but, like Apple Facetime, it can only be used with other Blackberrys There are a few Skype alternatives you can use to Video chat with computers but they're not as convenient as Skype You can't get that wonderful Ipad app on the Playbook that is a sort of cat creature that makes stupid noises when you tickle it's tummy or smack it.

That was a big reason I DIDN'T get the iPad! Yes there are a lot more Apps available for the Ipad and Android. But this is changing.

The Playbook is such a great price at the moment that more and more people are getting one and the apps are growing with that. It has received a lot of criticism, some of it justified (when it was first released the software really wasn't up to the job. It's MUCH better now...). But if you have a look around the forums you'll see that most people that actually own and use them, love them It's especially good for watching movies and some of the games are just incredible (Dead Space, Modern Combat 2, Machinarium) It is true, RIM (the company that makes Blackberrys) has suffered a bad year.

However It is such a massive company with a huge infrastructure and user base that the thought of it going under seems unlikely. I could be wrong, but they have a big new line up coming next year (including a major software update for the Playbook in February), I'm sure they'll turn it around.

The iPad has more and better apps, at least natively, and Apple is rather sure to be sticking around for ongoing support and development of the platform. RIM is in trouble right now, and their BB hardware in question.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
