IPhone vs. Blackberry, which would you recommend?

If you do lots of e-mail and typing: Blackberry (not Storm) is the obvious choice. If e-mail is not the primary feature used, then iPhone as it has beautiful UI. Blackberry is more work friendly (secure remote wipe if the device is lost) while iPhone is personal device.

Both of them are great devices regardless what you choose.

Personal preference is key in this decision. Luckily you can go to an Apple store and play with an iphone all day long. You can type things (don't worry it gets easy pretty quickly) and even make phone calls.

If you have a tendency to drop your phone a lot I would get a really good case or get a BB. The glass screen on the iphone is strong, but not strong enough to take the abuse many people subject their phones to. If you have a tendency to lose your phone (and replacement cost doesn't matter to you) then I would get the iphone.

All of your data sync and backs up with itunes and replacing the contents of a lost iphone are as simple as plugging in a new one. I've had my iphone replaced under warranty and this was a huge timesaver. As a bonus you can also have the iphone delete itself after 10 failed login attempts.

If you intend on using the device for any media, get the iphone. If you intend on using the device to browse the web, get the iphone. If you have a lot of email addresses I think the iphone has a cleaner interface for navigating between them.

Many people love the physical keyboard of a BB, but I haven't had a problem typing long emails on my phone. Even with my computer within arms reach I still type on the iphone because it isn't an extra hassle to me. Finally, the iphone has not only the app store, but also OS updates that add significant new features (some of which should have been there from the start).

I bought my iphone less than a month after they were first released because I knew that it would be like getting a new phone every time the software was updated. The iphone also comes with Apple's reputation for excellent customer service and technical support. When I was unhappy with the volume switch on my phone it was replaced on the spot without a fight and without mailing it away.

The blackberry has its place, but unless you are getting one tied to a work account that takes advantage of the advanced syncing abilities I don't think it is worth it.

I have both and think you just need to pick the one that suits your personal needs. If you are primarily using the device for email and are going to want to type long messages then the BB keyboard and superior email client wins the day (this rules out the Storm which I have not used but hear is very disappointing). If not then go got the iPhone as it is better in every other respect.

I personally own both of these devices. And having used both extensively, I have to say that I far prefer the iPhone over the blackberry. The iPhone browser is just like your computer's browser. It shows everything the way it was meant to be shown.

The blackberry browser throws off all the formatting, spacing, and alignment of items all over a website unless the website was specifically designed to be seen on a blackberry (hardly any of them are designed this way). Many people say they have a problem typing on an iPhone. I have never had this problem.

But if you have stubby fingers, I can see how this would be an issue. But for me, with the automatic spellcheck on the iPhone, I type way faster on there than I do on a blackberry. Also, the app store alone makes the iPhone FAR more useful than a blackberry.

All the apps are centrally located, you can see what they look like, download them easily, all through the iPhone or iTunes. Finally, the look and feel aspect. This is my own opinion, but Apple just KNOWS how to make a product feel great.

I don't mean the physical feel of the product, but just the usability factor. Everything on the iPhone really just makes you feel like somebody at Apple truly worked at making it easy and straightforward. It is quite simply a fantastic device, and I would highly recommend it. The blackberry?

Not so much.

I've never used an iPhone, but I do have a Blackberry.... and I hate it! The problem with Blackberry's is that they don't give it enough memory. So what happens is that one day you wake up to find that all your emails, text messages, etc., are gone.

When the memory runs low, it will just start deleting things, and it doesn't give you any warning. It's very frustrating! So, bottom line, I will never get another Blackberry.

Once my contract is up, I'm looking into getting an iPhone. I know people who have one, and they love it.

I bought a new BlackBerry 8800 two years ago at the AT&T Store. Hated it. I just got an iPhone yesterday. It's 1,000 times better then the BlackBerry.

Easier to use, iPod built right in, 30,000 apps available from itunes store need I go on?

I love the comprehensive and deep answers above. My own take is simple: The iPhone is fun, addicting and has broken the carriers' stranglehold over phone design -- (the exclusive AT&T contract was the inducement to AT&T to accept the iPhone "as-is" from Apple with no veto over how Apple wanted it designed. This is a sea-change that has changed the world of cell-phone handset design).

I have personally tried both the iPhone and several different Blackberries. I'm a heavy email and IM user. I talk with contacts more via e-mail than any other method.

Since the keyboard on all versions of the Blackberry are head-and-shoulders above that of the iPhone, I strongly prefer the Blackberry. In contrast, the media functions (audio, video and apps) of the iPhone are head-and-shoulders above the Blackberry. So, if you rely on your mobile phone to keep you in constant communication across multiple mediums, choose the Blackberry.

If the playback of media and games is your main cell phone user, go iPhone. Here are the best two resources on comparing the iPhone and the Blackberry: 1) http://www.techcrunch.com/2007/07/25/iphone-v-blackberry-side-by-side-two-week-comparison/ 2) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fl7cqFQatP4.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
