You have to force your iPod touch into recovery mode so that it can restore via iTunes. It sounds weird but try holding down the home & power button while plugging it into the USB cord attached to your computer. Hold those buttons down until iTunes recognizes the device and says something like "iTunes detects an iPod in recovery mode..." (something like that).
It will prompt you to see if you want to restore your device. Just click on that option and it will bring your iPod back to the original factory settings. If you are in the habit of regularly syncing your iPod and backing up that device before it syncs, it will reinstall all of your info back into your iPod when the restore & sync cycle is done.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
