Ironman vs Batman. Who is cooler?

Truthfully it comes down to either being around a brilliant narcicist or a split personality (both have a lot of cash, so you're good to go there). Additionally, both guys have a ridiculous amount of sick gadgets and toys to play with, so taht can't be factored in. This is a hard question as I had to think a long time on how to answer as really, both are extremely cool.

Still, in the end, Tony Stark and Iron Man wins in the end simply on personality. Also, it's important to point out that Batman (Bruce Wayne) has a serious dark side that may make it difficult to be around for very long at a party. So my winner is IRON MAN!

Batman. Really Iron Man comics have never done much for me and I certainly hated the movies. Batman movies are SO much better, but maybe its just because there are ten times as many."Batman" by Tim Burton is still my favorite super hero movie ever.

Michael Keaton, GREAT. Jack Nicholson as The Joker, EVEN BETTER. Besides the better movies, the Frank Miller era of Batman has got to be my favorite comics from any mega popular superhero, the Dark Knight series was great (not the movie).

In fact I pick batman over Superman and Spiderman too, and for that matter really any other superhero...... well besides Conan the Barbarian.

Okay... I say it's Batman, hands down. Why? Because, first off... his costume is easier to make.

And anyboby, I mean ANYBODY can be Batman for Halloween.

Second... Batman has an air of mystery and slight melancholy within a gothic setting. He's been through quite a bit.

Many can relate to his losses and regrets.

Through all the years, actors and costume phases... Batman has kept his cool. I won't even get into the gadgets that both of them have, since again Batman wins on grounds of coolness.

When both of these super heros are well into retirement age, I'm afraid that Ironman will be squeaking along and in dire need of some WD-40, while Batman will going strong!

.

Pffft, Ironman.

While I have a lot of great memories growing up with the old Batman comics, the movies, and the animated TV series, I have to say that Ironman is way cooler. He's got the technical know-how to build anything dangerous out of scrap metal (Batman has awesome gadgets, but I don't think he built most of them), he doesn't have the depressing history of Batman, and he's got a much better sense of humor and better social skills.

Plus, Ironman probably has way more money, fame and business expertise than Batman, and that's a ton of extra "cool points. " Also, Robert Downey Jr.

If we are talking about the early comic version of Batman - I would give it to Iron Man. That version of Batman was too much of a pushover and too comicy. If we were to talk about the Superfirends version of Batman - I would give the coolness factor to Iron Man since Batman here was just a background chracter.

If we were to talk about the Dark Knight version from the comics, Batman would knock just about anyone out of the water, including Iron Man. If we were to talk about the revenge-driven Batman - Iron Man does not have a chance. If it were to be discussed about the version of Batman from the movies - Iron Man would win against most, except for the redo.

If it were to come down to Adam West as Batman - Iron Man would melt from his aura!

For me it's BATMAN. I love the cloak, the mask, the dark mysterious character. I love his nocturnal nature.

Batman has classic chivalry even with the naughty Catwoman. Ironman just seems cold and his appearance to me is one of a mechanical robot rather than a man as opposed to Batman.

I too had a little trouble with the meaning of the word "cooler" when used in this context. When I read it, the first thing that came to mind would be "Who is sexier? " In that respect, it would have to be Iron Man.

While there was a time when I would go for that dark mysterious type, I think there is something more there lurking beneath the surface, and much of this has been seen in some of his personal disputes with the Cat Woman, which seem to demonstrate emotions which run the gamut of extremes. Now, if we stopped to compare Cat Woman and Iron Man in terms of coolness and sexiness, there may be some real competition there. (Or should we compare her to Black Widow?) Batman may have a killer car, but Bruce Wayne is aging, and his "coolness" seems to be diminishing.

If he would get out of the bat cave a little more often and do some socializing, he may be able to find his light again, and things could be restored, but for now, my money is on Iron Man and all of his wonderful gadgets. I don't really care that he is completely full of himself and slightly egotistical. If I had all of those tools at my dispense, I would be too.

I still think he would make for great company.

Dur it's Batman! Batman won a fight with Superman, so he's clearly better :P He also has more Demotivational Posters about him me thinks.

It is a tough one as how do you define cool. Based on coolness I am going batman, in a one on one battle I might be swayed to ironman.

I agree with you 100% I have always thought of him as more of a machine than a man. I guess its a good twist but its a twist away from what I like in a super hero. bestchisale.com.

The fact that this is a question is an insult to Batman. I didn't even know who Iron Man was until the movie. With Batman, I knew him as a little kid and he's been the only comic book character I ever cared about.

While all the comic book movies bore me or just irritate me, all Batman movies (excluding the abomination that was "Batman and Robin") were fun, exciting, and powerful to me. I think he's an awesome guy by day or night, has a sweet home, great family legacy, a life you dream of, and relies on his brain and body, not super powers or cheap tricks. I also think his nemesis is one of the all time greats, The Joker.

How cool is he? And Harley Quinn of animated fame? Add to them Scarecrow, Clock King, Mad Hatter, Riddler, Penguin, Catwoman, and the rest and you have some amazing characters.

I also have to give Batman props for his justice over killing stance on crime=fighting. He weighs moral issues and is kept in check by friends and most of all Alfred.

This one is sooo easy. Batman is clearly Cooler. He gets the chicks.

Ok so he wears tights but he doesn't have that freaky thing plugged into his chest. They both have oodles of money and really cool gadget lairs but Batman comes out on top stylistically. There are so many similarities like their both tormented by their lack of a relationship with their father, their silly costumes, and their cool cars.So it all just boils down to the cool factor.

Even though the batman character has suffered through waves of various actors portraying him they all got the cool Barry White-ish voice thing going once they put the mask on. VERY Cool. Batman has a side kick (Robin) which demonstrates his compassionate caring side - and chicks dig a guy who can express his emotions and still kick butt in a fight of Good vs. Evil.

Batman wins on Cool points.

Batman. Hands down. Fundamentally, the only difference between batman and the joker is that batman BELIEVES he is the good guy.

He is absolutely insane which gives him the definitive edge over iron-man. If you're going to battle the forces of evil, fear is absolutely your greatest weapon. Who would YOU be more afraid of?

A billionaire in a bat-suit stalking you through a dark alleyway? Or a billionaire in a voltron costume falling from the sky to pummel you with one-liners? On second thought, they're both pretty ridiculous.

Batman defintely.....he's like the all time comic book hero. Moreover, he seems more mysterious.

Ironman is like so way cooler he can blast stuff out of his hands and he's made of metal so when batman gets hit he'll get hert but ironman won't ohh! Yeah thats right bat man think about that for a minute!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
