They say distance makes the heart grow fonder, but I suppose it depends on how long the distancing lasts.
Not necessarily so as the distance isn't forever, but don't get me wrong it does make it harder. If you're talking romantic relationship then it will be hard, friend relationship not so much I have several friends that are well over 1k miles from me and we are still great friends and I have two that are in other countries and we are the best of friends. So it's really what you make of it just don't kid yourself though.
As long as you have the means to visit each other and the trust to wait for each other, there's a chance it can last, although I think the saying 'absence makes the heart grow fonder' is complete nonsense. It certainly requires more commitment to stay in a long-term relationship because you can't just take the other person's presence for granted the way you can when they are with you all the time. It requires more effort to show the other person you are still thinking about them. Above all though, there should be some plan that you will be together again at some point.
That's my experience, anyway.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
