Is a Mopar Cold air intake for my Charger really necessary?

If you want the possible benefits of a cold air intake without the drawbacks of an oil soaked filter which could damage your intake sensors, then put some extra heat shielding around your current intake pipe and air box. You won't see much of an improvement. In fact, your cars performance will change more due to weather than the cold air intake.

In my opinion, they aren't worth it unless you current exhaust is extremely restrictive due to its shape and size. A 2012 SRT-8 won't be.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
