Is America truly a democratic republic today?

No way, no how! Has not been that since the central bankers bought their first politician. We've got real problems now because undoing what's gone on this this country since WWI is not going to be pretty.

We are a unionist-leaning federal republic with global imperialistic tendencies due to a highly-unregulated captialistic economic system. We also have strong traditions of liberty and democracy laid over a culture of white religious fanatics, immigrants, former slaves, and conquered peoples (French, Spanish, and Natives). This liberty and democracy is currently countered by a neo-fascist movement bent on creating more laws and harsher punishments for offenders and a successful effort to control the minds and attitudes of citizens through corporate-controlled media outlets, church, and public education.

The curbing of opinions and the greater law-and-order is again a result of the combination of unregulated capitalism, religious fanaticism, racism, and xenophobia. The control of attitudes and opinions negates the democratic aspects of the electoral system of the republic. Another economic collapse is expected.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
