Is any wet cat food better than dry food? My cat seems to throw up more on his wet food?

Well, it depends. Do you feed only wet? I was under the assumption that cats need taurine (an amino acid) from the dry food.

How long has the cat been throwing up? (weeks, months, however long you’ve had him/her? ) do you have fresh water available?

Do you give any kind of hairball treatment? Since cats groom themselves they ingest a certain amount of hair and barf it back up. There’s some commercial hairball treatments, comes in a tube, my cat loves it.

Try feeding a spoonful once at a time, (like wait til the cat is hungry again) and leave the dry down for him/her . There’s also a grass that you can grow specifically in a pot for cats to eat....i’m not sure exactly what it’s called, but I noticed on the rare times that my cat goes outside he eats grass. Also, get a good cat care book and brush up on info.

If your cat prefers dry food, let him eat dry food. In general, dry food is vastly better for your cat's health than wet food. A quality cat-kibble will be better balanced, and gentler on your kitty's digestion.

There are VAST quality differences in cat food, however. The worst dry foods are far worse for your cat than the best wet foods. I recommend doing a bit of research on foods at places like catfancy.com and the like.

Keep in mind, however, that cats NEED to be able to vomit, and tend to vomit up at the slightest provocation.
