We're far too stupid to think for ourselves. We need a little voice in the back of our head that says, "Oh, Coca-Cola and your favorite song love eachother!
Sublimity is being abused, but corporations have more freedom of speech than us---because they've got all the money.
Fortunately here where I live in Sydney, Australia, we have a government funded organization known as The Australian Broadcasting Company (ABC) It runs both television and radio stations commercial free. Moreover, most of its programs are excellent. I spend most of my TV viewing hours on this channel.
Daniel, love your comment! Thanks, you are so right, they think we are idiots.
The advertisers and stations have to make sure we can still hear the commercials when we are in the kitchen, bathroom, or laundry room during them. :-).
Here's an idea for an inventor: Most, if not all, TVs have a volume control on the remote. Those usually work by the remote sending out infra-red signals to the TV itself. Those signals are coded.
What is needed is an aftermarket device that also sends out infrared signals.
That device would monitor the volume, and send out up-down adjusting signals as necessary to keep the average volume to what you have set.. As with universal remotes, you would "train" this new device with your TV remote so that it would send out the proper signals.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
