Gh schools are such fishbowls. Once you are in a niche there, it's tough to move out of it until you leave the school. But I don't think popularity in and of itself is detrimental, unless as bklynjs mentions, the people depend on that status to get them through life.

After high school, status is never the same. Once popular people become just one of the crowd unless they do something more to distinguish themselves. However, a popular student could just be really personable or really confident, and therefore go on to bigger and better things as well. It's tough to pigeonhole people just based on their high school status.

Only if you let it carry you through those years and never really accomplish nothing on your own. This would be if you used it to get away with things and didn't live up to your expectations. On a whole I don't think it hurts but as long as you remember your studies and follow through.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
