Is firefox a memory hog?

A certain update to Firefox 2 caused it to start hogging memory because as you visited web pages, it no longer deleted the old ones from the system RAM. If you have Firefox 2, update to Firefox 3 and you should see normal memory usage for what you are doing.2 open tabs shouldn't use that much RAM. I've got Opera open with 2 tabs and its using 60MB of RAM.

Geez, I hope not. I go a bit insane with Opera sometimes; I've got 8 web tabs open in two windows, and I'm only using about 150 MB of RAM. I have heard a lot of complaints about Firefox's RAM usage, but I don't have personal experience to speak of.

Firefox is known to be a slight memory hog because of the ability to have the addons. Check to see what version of Firefox you are using, if you have not upgraded to Firefox 3 do that right away and you should see an improvement! As a side note... I run multiple computers and use Firefox, IE, Chrome, Opera, Safari, and Konqueror... all of them have their little quirks but none run any faster than Firefox from what I have seen.

Certain add-ons are known to be memory hogs - the NUMBER of add-ons may not necessarily matter. There was an article in lifehacker. Com about this.

Aside from that, firefox is one of the least memory-intensive browsers (aside from Safari ...and Camino on Mac).

If you use a PC, you may want to try Google Chrome. If it comes out for Mac, I would recommend you try it as well. If you're using a Mac, you should try out Camino, as well as Safari.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
