Is Fox News biased?

Fox News is extremely biased. If you are interested in observing this for yourself, check the news the way I do. I get my news from the internet, starting with Google.

Google does not report news itself, rather it presents news from all the English writing news sources of the internet. Now, observe over a number of days the various headline stories that in any way connect to President Obama. Invariably he is accomplishing or campaigning for something or other and the various national and international news agencies, papers, etc will report on it.

Then look for Fox. You will see it reporting some attack or negative item about Obama or the administration. I'm not kidding, they aren't even trying to cover the news.

They just report and spread attacks against the administration whatever is actually going on. Fox reports on an obscure Republican congressman * so against health care reform that he is postponing his resignation. It's always like that.

Whatever is going on, Fox just reports anything negative about Obama and his efforts. Don't take my word, watch the news via Google for a few weeks and see for yourself. * Congressman Deal is an ex-Dixiecrat turned Republican who is most notable for being one of the most corrupt members of Congress.

I have discussed this curious and unfortunate trend in other answers.

Their nightly news isn't biased, from what I can tell. They do their best as any other network to just lay out the events of the day. For example, this clip on the McCain/Obama debate: youtube.com/watch?v=wup4nsIWe8A I think it's the talkshows, mainly.

When you get more that one person involved, you just gab back and forth and eventually opinions are given - the same happens with morning shows on any network. I personally find that anchors on Fox News are much more argumentative when talking with other reporters, and don't politely wait to let the other finish - it makes for a stressful way to keep up with your news. But I could be watching different shows than other people.

The more open and laid-back morning or debate shows are the ones that most people refer to "conservative" or "liberal" (a friend of mine's uncle referred to CNN as the "Communist News Network"). It just depends on what you catch, what you think you hear, and what they choose to cover.In the end, all news is biased because they can't possibly cover every single story - they have to pick and choose, and in that sense, they're already biased about what they think are the important issues.

No - Fox News is dumb-ed down. There's the harm right there....it's a brain softener network.

Fox News is seen as biased by many. Mostly by those who are not fans, yet watch it anyway. Long term effects are minimal, as there are so many other news sources available.

People tend to have changing habits in what they watch and read. Perspectives can change simple because they like an announcers voice better, or the blonde stops wearing sweaters. People who are capable of rational thought can see the bias, and choose to either go with it, or dismiss it.

Those who are not capable, well, they have bigger problems than what news channel they watch.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
