Kramer! The Harry Potter series has been recognized around the world as one of the best fantasy books ever made. People all around the globe, regardless of age, have enjoyed both the movie and the books.
What most people don’t know is that many have been criticizing the series, because they think that it just misleads people to the occult. A lot of people think this series as something that would lead others, especially the children to want to practice witchcraft. They fear that it is potentially harmful to the faith and innocence of URL1 may cause riot to accepted religions.
I believe this is not what we get in the series. Yes, many people are afraid of embracing the thought of witches and wizards as they confuse Harry Potter as one of those persecuted by the church. The thing is they are not.
When did the church condemn the Wizard of Oz and Gandalf the Gray/White from the Lord of the rings? These witches and wizards are just products of the author’s imagination. If you have that thought that Harry Potter can lead children to witchcraft, then I guess the issue is not the series.
It’s your faith. The question here is not whether the series will lead you to witchcraft or not, but how you will teach the kids morality (bad against good wizards) and about God.
I don’t like to come off as too judgmental but I honestly think that the people who believe that a book like one from the Harry Potter series saying this is the work of the devil are some of the most idiotic people on the planet. I cannot fathom the lack of intellect it takes to think that a book can somehow turn perfectly innocent children into devil worshippers or practitioners in black magic. To think that groups like Focus on the Family have claimed that these books are somehow evil makes me sick to my stomach.
I also remember when people got all bent out of shape because JK Rowling made the comment that Professor Dumbledore might actually be gay. As if for some reason what the sexual identity of a fictional character was really mattered to anyone with an IQ above grounds squirrel.
Bovandy has hit the nail right on the head, people who believe total nonsense like this are complete morons. They don't even have the I.Q. Of ground squirrels. Unfortunately they always find someone to listen to the garbage that they spout.
I suspect that there is a streak of envy running through these peoples twisted brains, J. K Rowling is a very successful author, who has become very wealthy indeed because of her Harry Potter books and good luck to her. I have a feeling that the people spouting this lunacy resent that fact and are looking to sully her name.
And they have the nerve to call themselves Christians? These books have brought harmless pleasure to thousands of children and I know adults also enjoy them, but that is something these idiots cannot tolerate. In their own warped minds let them harbor whatever crazy notions that they wish, who cares?
It is when they try to foist them on other people, then I have a problem with that. There is another wonderful series of childrens books about talking woodland animals by a famous author, ironically named Beatrix Potter, I would hazard a guess that these creatures would even find something evil about these books also.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
