Yes and NO. Both were under British rule at some point but Singapore managed to get out in the 50's where as Hong Kong's lease expired in 1997. That being said, Singapore was under British rule from 1819 through 1956 ... more then one hundred years (137 to be exact), and achieved full independence in 1963.
Hong Kong and other parts of China were under British rule from 1842 through 1997. 155 years total. However, Singapore was freed much before Hong Kong/China and thus YES it is FREER.
According to the 2009 index of economic freedom, Hong Kong is freer than Singapore: heritage.org/Index.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
