Is is ok to breastfeed a baby on a plane?

I think it's OK to breast feed a baby just about anywhere Great question. What I'd like to know is, is there someplace where it's NOT OK to breastfeed a baby? Possibly while scuba diving or skydiving.

Yes In my opinion, it is okay to nurse anywhere. I nursed my son up until a week before his second birthday. While some people staring or making comments (including my own family), I nursed anywhere and everywhere.

I made sure that I was always covered up, and my son was comfortable. If anyone else can go out and eat, why can't a nursing child? It is, in my opinion, the same thing.

You can breastfeed anywhere you are legally allowed to be with the baby Yes, by all means feed your baby. It is easy to find substantiation for this online, for example at 007b.com/breastfeeding_public.php" rel="nofollow">007b.com/breastfeeding_public.php, or you can contact La Leche League. They may have a way to make you more comfortable. But don't even consider that you would not be allowed to feed your baby. Besides, I've been on planes with my and other people's babies.

The other passengers will be much happier if your baby is happy, swallowing a lot during ascent and landing, and whenever your child is hungry. Sources: 007b.com/breastfeeding_public.php" rel="nofollow">007b.com/breastfeeding_public.php, lalecheleague.org/WebIndex.html .

Of course it is - Breast feeding mothers can do so with a minimum of fuss - it's easy to provide a little "cover" to avoid her "exposing" herself. The idea that something so natural should be prohibited in airlines is an idea that could only be supported by persons with very confused notions of sex and sexuality.

Absolutely If you don't have a nursing blanket, just drap a blanket over your shoulder for privacy. There's nothing wrong with breastfeeding in public as long as you aren't shoving it in peoples' faces, as it were What I'm specifically referring to is a time when I saw a woman who was making sure that everyone knew she was about to breastfeed her baby by loudly announcing it and exaggerating all of her movements and actions to call as much attention to herself as possible. I'm sure she was looking for someone to argue with..
