I am not sure. I would ask him in a way he won't find out whether he would be into having one or not because that is a huge bomb to drop on someone. Please answer mine: answers.yahoo.com/question/index?….
No, it's not a cool thing to give a dog as a gift. In fact, it's a very bad idea. Though your friend may like dogs, that doesn't mean she wants the responsibility of owning one.
Also, just because you think they have the money to take care of the dog, truly, you don't know what their finances are and whether they want to pay for the expense of owning a dog. Get her something else...none living preferably.
Nice thought, and I 'd imagine all for the right reasons. However, never ever give a puppy as a gift and never ever at Christmas.
How can you consider a living creature to be a 'gift'.....your friend is going to end up spending way more money on the dog than you ever did! How is that a gift!? Dogs are a lot of responsibility...both physically and financially!
Plus it's a loooong term commitment for the entire life of the dog, so your friend could end up paying for this 'gift' for next 16 years! Unless the family has sat down, discussed what breed suits their lifestyle, talked with breeders and actually PLAN on having a dog, then I suggest NOT giving them a pup. Sweaters or socks don't die when you 'return' those gifts.
American Eskimos have VERY high maintenance. You might wanna figure out whether they fit their life style, having another dog in the house doesn't mean that they can handle an eskimo. Dogs have different traits and personality.
If the family stated they wanted an eskimo and seem very confident if one were to show up at their door step to take care of, then by all means, get them one. If they've never mentioned one, or showed that they're ready for a another puppy, don't add any stress to their household.
Although a nice idea.. never give a dog as a gift.. petrescue.com/petlibrary/pet-… Also.. I say.. becuase of the common issues.. NO responsible breeder, or resuce will sell or adopt a dog to somone to be give as a gift to someone else.. so keep that in mind..
This is a very bad idea. Owning a pet is a personal choice and is one you can't make for someone else. Imagine someone dropping off a child at your house as a surprise telling you Merry Christmas, now you get to raise it, feed it, take it to the doctor, clean up after it and you didn't want it in the first place.
Dogs are just like children who never grow up. They require lifestyle changes just as having children do and it's not a choice you should make for another person.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
