Is it a good idea to have a small travel trailer when driving to the city?

It depends on what you plan to do in the city. If it will take a while to travel, the trailer would be a good idea because you can stop at camp sites on the way. However, if you plan to use it in the city, it's normally a better idea just to get a hotel.

Many places will not allow a person to park their trailer for longer than necessary.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
