I tend to get up a lot while sleeping to use the bathroom, but I notice that if I stop drinking water about 5 hours before sleeping tha I don't get up even half as much. So I sleep at 11:30 pm and wold stop drinking anything altogether at 6:30, yet I DO get thirsty here and there but I can fight it.By the Way I am 19 and am a male, in good shape I would say if this matters. Can this be bad in anyway?

After my kideney stone I read a lot and some advised drinking three glasses of water before going to bed. I did that for at least ten years after and now it has been 30 years since I had the stone. Noww it is just one large glass.
Of course I get up in the night. Better than going to the emergency room.
I could. That is my reason. I have no idea about you.
Sorry if I was not clear.
I would advise you to stop drinking water about 2 hours before bed. At least with me, I find whatever I drink I urinate out in about 1-2 hours. But if 5 hours works for you, that's fine.
Just make sure you drink plenty of water throughout the day. If you have to get up a lot to go the bathroom, you might want to ask a doctor about it. There might be something he can do to help.
If you're getting up frequently (more than once a night) to urinate, it's something you should bring up with a doctor. You're too young to have prostate issues, but it could be something else. (Including, possibly, diabetes.)As long as you're drinking enough water in general it doesn't matter much when you drink it (unless you're guzzling vast amounts at once), so that's not doing you much harm.
Fighting thirst sure isn't doing you any favors, but it's not the worst thing in the world for a few hours. But you should still consider having a doctor look into the other issue. Odds are it's unimportant, but it's better to be sure.
I agree with PamPerdue: a healthy teenager should not usually need to get up more than once a night at most. It concerns me that you have to stop drinking 5 hours before bedtime to slow down the bathroom trips at night, and that you still have to get up during the night anyway, even if it is less than usual. It also concerns me that you withhold fluids long enough to feel thirsty, because generally, thirst is a signal that your body *needs* more fluids.
Please see a doctor or other health care practitioner, and get checked out soon, OK? Just to be on the safe side...Kat .
I could not find anything on the internet that mentions any benefits of drinking it.....

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
