I seem to remember the forecasts being more accurate when I was younger. They aren't even close anymore, why? Too much information, too many "computer models"?

Yeah, I think you're right. We use to have weathermen who could look out the window and tell you there's a storm coming. Now, the weather just use stuff the government's weather office tells them.
The weathermen on the evening news seem to be a bit more on the ball, but a lot of the radio weather is contracted out of weather services in Philadelphia. I've heard weather forecasts saying it was going to sunny and in the 80s, while it was cold and cloudy and in the 60s all day. There's no one at the radio station to look out the window!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
