I'm a Christian and I don't think Catholics are going to hell as long as they live for God.
I think first of all, that it is a poor choice to stereotype "typical protestants" to begin with. It does nothing to further the relationship between Catholics and Protestants. I am a practising protestant, and I, for one - do not feel Catholics are going to hell.
However, the bible does teach us to "love our neighbour" and to "do unto others as you'd have them do unto you." With all of that being said, Catholic friend - may God bless you, and enlighten you to the truth that NOT ALL PROTESTANTS believe Catholics are going to hell. There is a lot of misconception out there about "idol worshipping" and there is confusion amongst some non-Catholics that Catholics worship statues, and etc, etc...where in fact, they serve as "reminders".
Secondly, I think most non-Catholics probably get their back up over the idea/concept that just because you're not Catholic - than you aren't part of the body of Christ. This one in particular perplexes me. How can you be a "Christian" yet not part of HIS Church.
I believe personally, that Christ' church goes beyond denominational label, and encompasses all who follow the teachings of Christ - in whichever expression that might be. Catholic included. God bless.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
