The Pakistani government has done nothing but get in the way and lie to our faces. Now China is holding parts of the helicopter hostage to manipulate communications with the US. I would hate having to work with sleazy people like that everyday.No good intentions, out to get you, volatile.

We shouldn't completely SEVER diplomatic ties with anyone. That act alone breeds ever greater difficulties... Is "now" "The Time" to break off with Pakistan? Keep in mind that all of this talk is for our own consumption.. Publicly (to the American people), the U.S. government may "make a break" with Pakistan.. but there's no real "break" taking place.

If you don't believe me, ask again in 4-6 months. Strategically, Pakistan is of the UTMOST importance to us. Any perceived "break" is highly provisional and temporary..

They're mad at us; we don't trust them. But diplomatic relations are never about the relationship itself; they're about what each can get from the other. Pakistan gets $$ and the U.S. gets access.

They have proven over and over, they are not to be trusted completely. There are factions within the Pakistan government/military that are working against us. Break diplomatic relations?No.

Then, we wouldn't have eyes and ears in their country. This is dicey since they have nuclear weapons and seem to be working both sides of the fence. We have given them so much money, it's a slap in the face and remember, Bin Laden was safe and secure in their country for years.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
