Is it ok to use a normal cfl bulb instead of a dimmable if my light fixture uses a dimmer?

Interesting question. A normal CFL bulb should not be used with a dimmer, even though you would just leave the dimmer at maximum all the time. The reason is that the curcuit of the dimmer behaves in a certain way that would do damage to a CFL bulb, causing shorter life and failure, and worst case is an overheat that could lead to fire (rare though).

Replace the dimmer with a normal switch, or use dimmable CFL, but remember dimmable CFL does not quite behave like the other bulbs though. A compromise is to use energy-saving halogens like Philips' Halogena series. Limited saving at about 30%.

You can use the CFL bulb but it won't dim. I've tried it. Danielpauldavis 65 months ago.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
