Well, I think we're a long way from 2012, and she isn't running yet, so I'm not sure what questions she's being insulated from.
Stranger things have happened than the fact she might be elected. Who would have predicted prior to the start of the primaries that Obama would win the nomination which was supposedly Hillary Clinton's? Yet, he was a virtual nobody who probably 2/3 of the American population had never heard of - after all, he had been in the Senate for something like 4 years and his sole national exposure had been a speech he gave at the 2004 convention.
I would like to think that 1. The Republicans have a better choice than Palin to run and 2. The American people have better sense than to elect the Alaska dingbat President.
But, you have to admit she does have a certain amount of charisma and by keeping herself in front of the media, she could pull off an upset, particularly if Obama were to really do something stupid. Even if Faux Noise were to keep her sheltered and make her look good as much as possible, I don't think mainstream Republicans would vote for her or even let her get the nomination.
Sorry, as far as we know, nobody has invented time travel, yet.
So far as we know.....but I like the way you think. Dragonsleeping 17 months ago .
Well, she will never be President. No one in their right mind thinks she is at all qualified, no matter how many "You betchas" and "mama Grizzles" she throws around, or how many people watch her reality show. However, I really, really REALLY, want the conservs to run her.
Seriously! .
I think the key here is "in their right mind. " There are a lot of below average people out there, and many are angry and fearful and see her as their champion. There are also a minority of cynical clever people who don't mind causing pain - and see her as their charismatic ticket to power.
She bodes poorly for the future - and I hope you are right TurboB; that she never would be president, but I am less sure. Dragonsleeping 17 months ago .
Don't forget the men who will vote for her because she is attractive.
Ah yes, the P.I.L.F vote! Jesus bless their cotton socks. Dragonsleeping 17 months ago .
Well, she really doesn't have the following that people think she does. Yes, there are millions of people entralled by her, but when it comes to actually voting for her, thats a horse of a different color. The truth is, she's pretty, and shes really good at working the media and providing sound bites that are easy to pick up and repeat.
But we all know the real power in this country is big business, and the old guard is not going to support her. The GOP will allow her to be front and center for the entertainment value, and to get the bagger support for their plans, but push come to shove, she will not get the nomination. She simply is not qualified.
Faux noos is smart in that they know how to use people to get ratings. That is the reason they do anything. Ratings mean money, and that is what they want.
However, they are skilled in one area - they have managed to get ALL the bagger supported government people on there payroll, which prevents them from being interviewed, and exposing their total ignorance. It's a funny world we live in now. People actually think they make a difference, or that they can influence anything.
Yes, the baggers got some of their people elected. But surprise! The people they helped elect, thinking they could be managed, are already asking the baggers to STOP calling them, saying they are being harassed.
We, as a majority, are very short sighted. We refuse to wait for results, demained instant gratification - so we dumped people and replaced the House majority. That's the only reason the GOP got control.
The baggers think they won. Time will prove them incorrect.
Sarah better get her kids to shut up! During the premiere of "Sarah Palin's Alaska" Sunday night -- a boy named Tre who went to school with the Palin kids wrote a status update that read, "Sarah Palin's Alaska, is failing so hard right now. "The comment sparked an intense response from Willow -- who replied on the boy's wall, "Haha your so gay.
I have no idea who you are, But what I've seen pictures of, your disgusting ... My sister had a kid and is still hot. "Willow followed up that comment with another that read, "Tre stfu. Your such a f**got.
"Bristol Palin also got in on the smacktalk -- writing a message to Tre saying, "You're running your mouth just to talk sh*t. "Eventually, a message board war erupted -- and Bristol took aim at another person named Jon -- saying, "You'll be as successful as my baby daddy, And actually I do work my ass off. I've been a single mom for the last two years.
"After more users began to gang up on the Palins, Willow dropped another message that read, "Sorry that you guys are all jealous of my families success and you guys aren't goin to go anywhere with your lives. "Lovely behavior! .
Wow. That's a brilliant idea, . I didn't even think of that, but it's definitely something we should work up.
After all, everyone knows our U.S. President is 90% perception and only 10% performance (and half of that is perception of performance! ) I mean, if Yale's Skull + Bones Club can field both candidates in 2000, certainly a major news network should be able to get their person into the White House, no? .
A Fox candidate is well within the realm of the Murdoch. Dragonsleeping 17 months ago .
Her flock of worshipers may think so, but in the real world the answer is definitely no.
Her flock is pretty big and they like to point to bogeymonsters instead of some hard real truths (she is tough, but she is picked on by "them"; she knows her stuff, but can't answer logical questions; she somehow equates international negotiations with having a Russian neighbor) - lots of people feel threatened by the big world - especially when they don't like to look at maps; but they do know how to vote. I'm worried. Dragonsleeping 17 months ago .
I don't think she needs, nor is she looking to be insulated from any questions, neither the dumb ones asked by her attackers or real ones asked by those seeking an honest answer. Truthfully, I don't think many others would have survived the treatment she has been given. What I see is people fearing an honest and determined individual who understands the American Dream and who challenges the powers that be.
She represents the average American family and defies the notion that you must be someone of elite status to be knowledgeable. In fact, she would be better than most politicians in office now... because she is a fighter for what is right, has principles and values, uses common sense, and is giving people the sense of what it means to be an American. She embodies the dreams of our country's Founders.
You see, it is always easier to trash and demean an individual, rather than to assess their true qualities.
Wow. Of all the words that jumped out at me, I think it was "elite" that was the loudest. Not sure at all where that target is - is it referring to the Obama Harvard experience?
I can't imagine anyone with a less elite, and more merit based attendence. Or is it to the Bush family Yale experience, because that is as elite as Americans get. Or is it to people like me, who are pretty knowledgable, but not elite either.
That's confusing. I also really perked up to the embodiment of our country's founders thing - are we talking about the Benjamin Franklin set? Interested in the occult and have numerous extra-marital affairs with women of a certain advanced age, while being pretty damned elite?
Or the George Washington set; slave owning, very wealthy and elite...or possibly John Paul Jones? Born in Scotland, fought for the American's very well, but also for the French and so loved his service to the Russians he kept trying to re-up his service. Not elite at all mind you.
Again - this is confusing, what attributes of the "Founders" is you are seeking to identify? Finally, the whole "survival" thing. Mama Grizzlies is a great allusion to toughness, and being from Alaska really makes her wholesome in that life on the edge Northern Exposure way.
She is a fighter (with her guns) and has survived "the treatment" - its all very jingoistic and emotionally laden, but where's the beef? Or is it elitest of me to ask for evidence? Dragonsleeping 17 months ago .
Evidently, you have a number of issues and appear to be very antagonistic. You infer confusion and look at our history in a perverted way. Wow - jingoistic!
Boy, true colors are really spewing. Hit a nerve with "elite," did we? Oh, well!
Guess we'll have to wait for those intelligent questions.
If she ends up being a candidate, she will have to appear on all news shows, not just Fox. That ought to expose her as uninformed once again as it did with Katie Couric. She's great at standing at a podium with her "schitck", but when she has to answer real questions about how she'd handle governing, she will show how inept she is.
More of a concept for real change in Amerian Politics, any one up for re-election should be voted out. " "How many people voted for Sarah Palin in her first mayoral race? " "Sarah Palin for President?
" "Have you voted for any of the questions for the Askville town square on U.S. politics? Why or why not? " "It would appear that Sarah Palin has made a career choice!
She has joined (drum roll) Fox News! " "Why should Sarah Palin not run for president? " "Would you have voted for Sarah Palin for President?
" "Is Sarah Palin Running for President of the United States in 2012? " "Do see Sarah Palin as President or Vice President? " "What do you think about Sarah Palin joining Fox news?

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
