Hmm! There's the couple in Spokane, Washington, who raised $3,800 from recycling aluminum cans to pay for their wedding. Last I knew, they were looking to raise money for their honeymoon in the same way.
I make my living from blogging, so there's no reason you couldn't use it to pay for a wedding. I'm sure if you do a search, you'll find there are other people who have done the same thing.
If you're going to do it, though, you should start sooner than later. Every minute counts when it comes to getting the traffic that will attract sponsors. But you should be aware that the online wedding space is quite crowded. So if you don't have a plan to get traffic relatively quickly, you might want to put your efforts elsewhere.
That's not the case if you're not concerned with getting all the money by the time of the wedding though. If you look at the blog as a long-term income source and you're capable of doing all the necessary work, then you have just as much chance as anyone to succeed.
Wepay is a great site for collecting money. This is such an interesting idea! I would love to know whether this works out for you!
Good luck!
Some very helpful responses here. I'm still turning over inmy head whether I could find the time, but then, nothingventured nothing gained. Thanks for the input guys and gals :-) Anymore thoughts and ideas welcome.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
