The answer is yes! It is possible to be a veterinarian and provide healthcare to animals and to be an equestrian, someone who rides horses, at the same time. The question is how one wishes to divide time between the two.
Usually the veterinarian career will take focus, as it requires more indepth schooling and provides a secure financial living, while equestrian pursuits are relegated to free time, like a hobby. As a matter of fact, it is possible to be a veterinarian that specializes in horses, or an equine veterinarian. In order to do that one must attend college or university as well as veterinary school.
