Is it possible to get driving insurance without getting auto insurance?

Not really.... You can get umbrella liability insurance as part of your homeowners or renter's insurance. This would cover you in most instances instead of auto insurance -- e.g. , damage to someone else's car, paying their medical bills, etc.Etc..

Yes, not cheap but possible I knew some people that lived full time on a boat and did not even own an automobile. But when they came ashore, they needed to rent cars; sometimes for a month at a time. And they didn't want to have the rental car company charge them $20/day for that time period.

They were able to purchase drivers insurance, without a car. The rate was not great, but it was less than buying from the rental company. Ths issue, from the point of the insurance people, is that they have no basis on how to charge -- unpredictable commuting times, where will it be garaged, and so on... I think they used Nationwide, although I could be wrong..

What happen if I have to go to court for driving without insurance.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
