Is it possible to make cake out of cake mix without eggs?

If fondant is your top layer and chocolate cake is your bottom layer, then it is certainly possible. Fondant can be difficult to handle, but it does give lovely smooth cover over your cake and decorating fondant is pretty easy. Personally, I do not like fondant as it very sweet, but your cake sounds cake lovely.
