Is it possible to use the different ports of an NAS external hard drive (which has USB and ethernet) simultaneously?

I think your going to have trouble. If you use the airport extreme you need to have the airport software instaledl to see the USB hard drive (HD). The Lg seams to be a wireless speakers system with a blue-ray player at it's center.

If you can connect a PC or Mac with the HDMI connector, you will then be able to use you USB HD with your airport on your network and though the computer access your LG. You will only be able to use USB or Ethernet connection on the HD at one time not both. Meaning if you will have to disconnect one to use the other.

You can also connect you computer to the TV and just use the speakers on the LG for sound that would be best because there is no guarantee that the LG will play all your files. Hope this helpful I'm going to bed if I think of something I missed I will post again.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
