They only want you to update it if there is reason to update. For a topic that does not change, you really don't have to update it once it has been made. It's good to keep an eye on your pages just to make sure all the links still work and that it still looks good, but overall, don't get yourself worked up about constantly updating pages for topics that don't change.

Yes and no, not all pages can have a "significant" update every 10 days. Think of old movies or dead actors, scientists etc. I think after 14 days certain pages should still belong to the original Maholian however it should be open for auction or for anyone to claim if it has not been updated. However the peson can only claim it after making a significant contribution, thus proving the person is more capable of providing better management of the page.

It's reasonable. The easiest way is to change the featured photo or video.

I think there needs to something done about pages managed by users no longer active. I see pages that were claimed a month ago and that user has either made no changes, is no longer active, or both.

Good question, Vincent. Some pages will need more updating than other. For example, older phone models (unless there are software updates), How-to articles, or foods (barring a recall of a specific product) will mostly stay static.

Buzz stories and people in the news will need timely updates. We are looking for significant updates for pages when they need them. For example Michael Jackson should give the details of his death and funeral.

The trade of is, our buzz pages usually get a ton of traffic, and hence, make a lot of money. While our more static pages, have the potential to make more money, they will need marketing (ie social bookmarking, blogs linking to them, widgets views). Marketing your page also counts as an update.

I don't think 1 "significant change" is an outrageous request; I think you have a good point not every topic will have new and up to date information. I think there should be some exceptions made. This is a difficult system to monitor and I think that's why think give everyone the same set of rules.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
