It would be best to contact the immigration department of the country that you are moving to and ask if you are allowed to bring domestic animals. They should be able to help you with the appropriate clearance forms and procedures if you are allowed to bring your pet parakeet. It's a tough decision but it might be in the best interests of the bird’s safety and care to leave it with relatives/friends in your home country or to sell the bird.
I say this because the animal, should it be allowed into your new country, will have to travel in the storage compartment of the plane and could go through at least a month of quarantine at your new country. This would be very stressful for your parakeet and it could die from stress depending on the length of the journey. Good luck, as you might have a short journey to a country with helpful and accepting rules and regulations on domestic animal movements.
Fry them up and have a celebratory meal before you leave.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
