No, not true. I recently have had quite some experience in long-distance walking (30 miles and up), and am going to walk 100 kilometers in 30 hours next weekend, but believe me, you need to eat and drink constantly because you are burning calories all the time. Of course the amount of calories burnt depends on your weight, AND how fast you walk, but as an example, if you weight 170 lbs, and walk a moderate 3 mph, you already burn 336 calories an hour.
Now, if you walk just a bit faster, 4 mph, this is increased to nearly 400 calories per hour. So if you want to burn calories, start walking. Every minute counts.
A 150 pound person walking 4 mph for 15 hours would burn 5625 calories, if that same person walked for 1 hour he/she would burn 351 calories. You can check this out at the source site by entering weight and duration of activity.
Depends on walking speed.....just walk as fast as you can without running..and you will know yourself......

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
