Is it worth it? Nearly 1800 people died from tattoo related skin cancer last year. Why do we do it?

When you say 'we' do it, it makes it sound like everyone does it. Only the people who aren't cool but are desperately trying to be cool have tattoos. The same applies for smoking.

Becuae someone thinks its cool to have some moronic looking person tatoo some ugly design (thinking thats a great pic) when actually they don't realize they look great without.

My husband has two of them, but that was 10 years ago. He's still fine.

Hang around old men that have tattoos. Look at that smeared ink blob. You can't even tell what it is anymore.

The people that get tattoos do so as a personal permanent decoration. There are many unnecessary deaths. A recent USA number attributes 6,000 deaths a year to distracted driving and showed 37% of people texted while driving as it becomes outlawed now state-by-state.

Thousand of people die from cigarettes and still almost everyone smokes.... they do it because they like it!

Yeah I hate tattoos especially on girls it make them look cheap. So didn't realise that they also caused cancer.

Tattoos don't cause skin cancer...infections maybe, not cancer.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
