I have a mental illness too (bi polar disorder with psychosis) along with two sleep disorders (insomnia and UARS) among other things... I was diagnosed at 15 years old and am now 25 years old... I'm a college graduate now and am looking for work (my mental and sleep health is only getting better and I'm looking forward to a good future)... It can happen... mental health problems are very difficult during teenage years especially due to raging hormones, relationship and self identity confusion, and it's the first time in your life that you face real world pressures like added family responsibility and juggling work and school. My advice from my experiences is to be very educated and proactive in your health care... explore the mental health system... there are many doctors, hospitals and counsellors out there to help you... many medications and therapies... learn as much as you can about them... everyone's problems are individual and you have to take a different approach for each person. Medications can help but you may have to try a bunch before getting the right fit... talking to a counsellor or psychologist can help you learn to think positively and intelligently about your problems and also the good things.

Physical health is important... staying in shape, eating healthy, working towards fitness goals, and abstaining from drug and alcohol and tobacco use is a life saver. Remember you are very young (as am I at 25 years old) You have a long life ahead of you and lots of time to work things out before worrying about having a terrible life (there are many people in their 30's and 40's who manage to deal with their illness/stresses/problems/traumas and manage to lead great lives with families, partners, homes, great careers, and fulfilling personal lives (hobbies like violin and sports)... it's never too late.. you're young and there is help for you... you're confused and tormented right now but hard work, focus, creativity, open mindedness and love for your family and life itself will steer you to get better! Keep your head up... "nobody said life was going to be easy... they just said it would be worth it!

If I were you here is a list in order of things I would do... 1. GET OFF MEDDICATION! For ever medicine you take there is always going to be side affects.

(talk to doctor first) 2. Calmly separate yourself from the people who are oblivious to you and what you have been through. They are not comforting you in any way.

3. If you have an ipod download classical music (if you already dont) this should help you be more inspired to play an instrument. Then research and learn to play the piano or cello.

4. When you come home from school focus on homework first, this will increase your success rate. 5.

Once your finished with school, get your own home, & prove those people who doubted you wrong! 6. Learn to do the things you've mentioned.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
