Is Kicker a good sub woofer brand?

Alright go for good brands in subs like Kicker probably the best. Heres more Alpine Pioneer Hifonics Sony Kenwood Power Acoustic Remember its not all the sub its your whole system! Amp is important, and a HUGE one is the size of box you put your subs in!

THAT IS BIGGG! Since your new its not all about Peak power watts its about the RMS wattage (continuous watts flowing) Your amp needs to at least meet the Rms or be bigger. Its ok to get a bigger amp but NOT ok to get a too small of an amp!

Another big thing is OHMS. The average sub is 4 ohms and 2 ohms. 2 ohms equals bigger bump.

I was new and found out you need to know a LOT of info before buying your system. Remeber talking to professionals is always the best. And go to sonicelectronics.com that is the place to be for subs.

1000 watts is good, pretty loud but go as big as possible. Id say about 2000-3000 watts peak power. But a REALLY good sub is Kicker 15inch L7 sub.

(its like the only square sub lol) heres a link to look at the Kicker- http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_11344_Kicker+Solo-Baric+L7+08S15L72.html its pricy for a reason lol. But if you drivers a$$ next to you shake go for it!

Think about the kind of music you like to listen to and what you like about it. The more bass that is in your music the larger subwoofers you should get. Decide where you will put the subwoofers.

Subwoofers commonly go into an enclosure in the trunk, but by using special enclosures subwoofers can go under seats or in side panels. This is mainly going to depend on how much space you have, often smaller cars cannot afford to sacrifice much space to sound quality. Decide exactly how much you are willing to spend.

It is going to cost at least $300 and it is best to set yourself a price limit before you go shopping. Assuming that you are going to listen to techno, rap or r & b, you will need two subs, if you listen to any other genre like country or rock you'd be ok with just one. I would stick with 1000 watt.

Don't forget to buy your amp, if you don't already have one..You want something that comes as close to producing RMS power equal to the max RMS rating of your subs without going over that rating. Other than that, total harmonic distortion (THD) is the most important rating of amplifiers. THD is expressed as a percent, and you want the lowest number possible.

Consider the cone. Options include kevlar, polypropylene, aluminum, or carbon fiber cone, getting better in the order listed. What you don't want is a paper cone.

Consider the surrounds. Rubber surrounds are best; foam is okay. Do not buy woofers with urethane surrounds.

Cones and surrounds affect not only the quality of the sound the subwoofer will produce, but how long the subwoofer will last. Pick the one that fits the above guidelines best. In the lower price bracket MTX is probably the best brand, and Infinity and Polk dominate the higher end market.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
