Is management really as important as the authors ( henry fayol, max weber, taylor, mary follet) claim?

Honestly I have not read all these authors but the ones that I have read also glorify management. There are two ways you can look at this. One is the glorified version which all business schools use to attract the candidates or the real life version.

So here we go: Glorified Version: Management is the best thing that happened to mankind and without proper management nothing will work. If you are a management graduate you will get paid loads of money because the business school will teach you the tricks of the trade. Management is the beginning and end of the entire business structure and without this an organization is doomed.

Real Life Version: 1. Management is an essential art with which you can improve the efficiency of an organization and is a must. However this cannot be completely utilized unless there is commonsense involved. 2.

The role of a manager is to manage the activities in an organization. However if this person does not have enough understanding ... more.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
