Is Marines Infantry a bad MOS?

When I went to ITB years ago, we were told to write down our top 3 MOS choices. I chose 0311, 0352 and 0331. I knew that we hiked a lot in the infantry and I wanted to carry an 8 lb rifle versus a heavy mortar system or machine gun.

I heard that 0352 was cool because you got to ride in vehicle and shoot at tanks. And firing machine guns is just bad ***. I wound up an 0311 and never regretted it.

After 7 years as an 0311, I became a 0369 and have learned about every weapons system organic to an infantry battalion.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
