I htink Larry king is pretty much down spirialing no matter what or who he brings in to the mix. So my answer is no, this is not a solution.
I have watched Larry King for years, and always enjoyed his shows. But alas, Larry has decided he's had enough, and he has had a long career. I don't think the aim of CNN is to actually replace Larry, but introduce a fresh take on the show.
I am looking forward to seeing if Piers Morgan will get the job, as I think it will get people interested in a new face, and perhaps format etc. The ratings will most likely go up, as anything new is renewed interest. I don't think the idea will be to have a Larry clone, as he's not to be copied, but hope he will be remembered for many great interviews. And as the Larry King show fades out, lets welcome in a new and hopefully interesting show.
My bet would be no. Larry is an icon and Piers is a twit. I think America's Got Talent is one of the stupidest shows on TV, and he is not a likable guy.
He is the D list Simon Cowell. If I was making the choice at CNN my top pick would be Joel Mchale the host of the soup. The out of left field choice would be David Duchovny.
Yes the guy from the X-files and Californication. Both have guest hosted for Regis a couple of times and were really entertaining.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
