Is plasmapheresis an effective therapy for multiple sclerosis (MS)?

Plasmapheresis is a procedure in which blood is removed from the individual, "cleansed" to remove the lymphocytes, and returned to the body. While the American Academy of Neurology has recently cast doubt on its usefulness in the treatment of multiple sclerosis (MS), there are occasional cases, one of which I have observed personally, that have shown dramatic positive results. This is a tedious and painful procedure to undergo because of the number and duration of the treatments.

However, it is a treatment that has worked in desperate situations when all else has failed.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
