Is playing the guitar using tabs really playing the guitar?

It's a good question. Yes, it's true that there are guitar players who think that if you play tabs you are only an amateur. These players usually have studies in the musical domain.

On the other hand in my opinion you can sing by tabs and be a good musician and composer. Many great guitarists never had studies and still they composed music in the 70's that still lasts. I don't play by tabs any more but I don't play by notes either, I just use my ear.

Many people say that is not professional but my idea is that music addresses to your hearing senses so I'm trying to Improve my hearing capacity so that I would be able to play anything just after I hear it. A person can write his/her own music/composition even if they use only tabs. Knowing how to read music and some music theory helps a lot tough.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
