I have had the best success using Pidgin as a cross-platform universal IM client.
I have been using mercury. To and is actually very good.
I prefer Pidgin. I have tried a number of them and Pidgin is the only one still installed on my harddrive. It also supports chat rooms etc.Better then many others I have tried.
I've been using Pidgin for four years now (I preferred the old name -- gaim -- but AOL didn't like the play on AIM). I use it for Jabber, IRC and AIM, on both Linux (Debian unstable) and Windows. I've been very happy with it.
There are some excellent third-party plug-ins available for Pidgin, especially OTR ("Off-The-Record") encryption: cypherpunks.ca/otr/. Adium is another popular multiprotocol client for OS X, and is based on Pidgin's libraries.
I also prefer pidgin for multi-platform use. Otherwise, Digsby as an overall multiheaded client is great.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
