There are a lot of ways to read magazines on an iPad. Many magazines are available in stand-alone applications and offer the complete magazine plus media to support the writing. Wired Magazine has one of the more superior applications for this.
Most of the applications are supplied for free but they charge you for each issue you download. Some of the prices are as high as $4.99 per issue. Some require an annual subscription and some offer a discounted issue price if you subscribe for a year.
Unfortunately, Redbook Magazine is not available for the iPad. The magazine is not available online in any format and they do offer any online content at their website. Moreover, the editors seem determined to keep it that way.
