Santa Monica is a great area for walking around since many of the top locations are within a couple miles of each other and some of the best locations are pedestrian only. A walk to three of Santa Monica’s top desitinations – Santa Monica Pier, Palisades Park and the Third Street Promenade can be done in less than two miles. Additionally, the Santa Monica Pier and Third Street Promenade can really only be accessed by walking, so in those cases it not only is better to see them by walking, but it is the only way to see them.

On top of that, Santa Monica offers the ability to stroll up and down the Pacific Ocean on the beach, so with a wide variety of great walking, Santa Monica is a great place to see on foot.
