Yes she could possibly , but her parents may have been telling her that when she was a kid just because they didn't like cats or didn't want her to have one , if she claims to have major allergic reactions , I wouldn't test it . If she dosent , then try it and she might just need to wash her hands after touching or being around them . :).

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
