Is the Canon Vixia HF100 really the best hd camcorder?

CNET thinks so (1) and the reviews on Amazon are very good (2). It can be had for sub-$600, if you know where to look (3), so it seems to be both very high quality and very easy on the wallet as far as HD camcorders go. This will be my first camcorder, and after reading the reviews this one feels right, but I was curious if there was something else I should be looking into as well?

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
