The Amazon kindle is the best e-book reader on the market. With 8 weeks battery life, connection to Amazon Prime, and a capacity to hold over 100,000 books, you will be excited. Get it now!
The bottom line is that the Nook is slow and has a 6 inch screen to the iPad’s 10 inches of eye candy. Should be a no brainer right? The iPad is an unparalleled drool inducer and even though it’s been out for awhile, if you have one in a Starbucks, you still keep hearing “man I’d love one of those†over and over again.
But here’s the deal when choosing between the iPad and the Nook. The backlit screen. I know it shouldn’t be a big deal, but my eyes like reading a page that looks like a page.
It’s much easier on the eyes, no kidding. Also, when I get lost in a book, the hours can tick away, meaning that I can’t be bothered with a battery running out. As a book reader that’s easy on the eyes with a battery you only need to charge once a week, the Nook is your machine.
If you want an absolute kick butt computer, get an iPad. If you want the best e-reader on the market, get a Nook. http://www.buzzle.com/articles/nook-vs-ipad.html http://ipod.about.com/od/ipadcomparisons/a/comparing-ipad-kindle-nook.htm http://nooktalk.net/news/ipad-or-nook-the-big-question.
Apple's Asian component suppliers have started mass production of a new tablet smaller than the current iPad — the so-called “iPad Mini” — that’s destined to compete with Google's and Amazon’s new tablets, according to a new report in the Wall Street Journal. It’s smaller than the current 9.7-inch iPad and will have a lower-resolution display — meaning the screen will look less “sharp” — compared with Apple’s existing tablet, according to that article. The tablet’s screen will be about 7.85 inches long diagonally, the report says.
Apple is facing pressure from other tablet makers that are drastically undercutting the cost of the iPad. Amazon’s newest smaller Kindle Fire HD devices cost around $200, as does Google’s 7-inch Nexus 7 tablet. The entry-level Kindle Fire is even cheaper, costing $159.
Even without Apple, the low-cost tablet space is getting crowded quickly. Apple now also has to contend with a new line-up of tablets from Barnes & Noble , which is an selling entry-level seven-inch tablet with high definition for $199, and a nine-inch tablet for $269, drastically undercutting the price of the iPad. Amazon also has a larger 8.9-inch Kindle Fire HD tablet that costs $299, compared with the most recent iPad’s $499 price tag.
The last-generation iPad 2 costs $399. Although the late Steve Jobs had dismissed the notion of a 7-inch tablet, internal emails released during Apple’s case with Samsung suggested Apple had interest in the smaller-tablet market, according to an earlier report by AllThingsD. AllThingsD reported that Apple was planning to hold a special event in October to unveil the smaller tablet.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
