Is the NRA opposed to background checks solely to sell more guns?

There will never be confiscation, regardless of a registry. If the time came that the government attempted to confiscate our guns, all our war would break loose, and it would lead to overthrow of the government in its entirety. It would be pretty hard to get all the crooked perks of running the country if you lost your job and had no power.

The USSR had a national gun registry,then they just looked up who had guns and killed all the gun owners. BTW,in the event of a civil war between the people and the government,you want to avoid open combat with the government's highly trained soldiers as much as possible. You just make a roadside bomb and hide,easy but may take a long time to finally blow up every last soldier.

Or you could go absolutely crazy like the Syrian rebels and f*cking fight with the strongest religious motivation in ******* ever.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
