Is their a way 2 connect a dvd player, a dvd recorder & a converter box? I try but picture from converter box stays on?

I try but picture from converter box stays on. I'm sure that I have them hooked up correctly but I just can't get the picture from the converter box to leave the screen and if I turn it off I don't get anything but I need the converter box to watch TV or to copy a show on a disc. I've tried to play a disc on the DVD player and copy to a disc on the DVD recorder but can't cause the picture won't leave the screen.

I have done this with a DVD/vcr player to the DVD recorder cause the player has the antenna in/out connections as well as the audio/video but the the ones I'm asking about only have the audio/video connections. I can usually figure things out but I'm stumped so any help would be appreciated. Switcher Sure, you can do this. You need to go to Best Buy or Radio Shack and buy a $20 video switcher. Using the video and audio RCA plugs out, connect the converter box to one channel of the switcher, and connect the DVD player to another channel of the convert box.

Now connect the video and audio outs from the switcher to the video and audio ins on the DVD recorder. Then attach the video and audio outs from the DVD recorder to the TV. When you want to watch TV from the converter box, make sure the DVD recorder is on and press the TV button on the switcher.

You should see the TV. You can record from it any time. When you want to see a DVD, press the second button on the switcher.

You should see the DVD player. You can record anything you like from the DVD player. If you want to add the VCR/DVD player to the switcher so you can record from them, go ahead.
