Is there a forum version of Wordpress? I want to create a forum for XYZ topic, customise, and brand it, but I want a ready-made backend?

WordPress offers a couple options on this front - bbPress and BuddyPress. BbPress is their bulletin board / forum option and can be set up as a standalone site or linked to as a page / subdomain from your WordPress blog. It's not as full featured as other forums like simplemachines or phpbb, but it's pretty light weight and relatively simple to use.

BuddyPress comes bundled with bbPress and a few other social networking (facebook) like features such as an activity stream, user profile pages, groups etc. The extra features can be turned on or off as needed. BuddyPress can be installed as a standalone site or as a plugin for an existing WordPress site... a word of caution however: you may need to use a plugin to convert your WordPress theme to work with BuddyPress, and even then there might be some hiccups.To avoid this problem, it's best to use a theme designed for BuddyPress, but you won't have as many options as you would for a regular WordPress install.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
