Getting started with WAS ND can be a bit overwhelming. The redbooks mentioned above to give you a good introduction, especially the first few chapters but they are often over 500 pages long. IBM also provides an educational assistant which is a presentation style overview and that may give a good point to start with.

There is the RedBook WebSphere Application Server V6.1: System Management and Configuration with Chapter 14 talking about application deployment, this could help.
This course from IBM would also be excellent but a bit pricy! redbooks.ibm.com/abstracts/sg247304.html....
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
